Arsonists Get All The Girls
Arsonists Get All The Girls
ARSONISTS GET ALL THE GIRLS have informed the music industry that heavy, technical music can be successful since unveiling their Century Media debut album, The Game of Life. The band has created a sound all their own and have become well known for their brand of grind, which has even been featured on MTV's Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Duel II. Now ARSONISTS are back with a brand new effort called Portals which has been highly anticipated from fans and press alike. The album was recorded by Zack Ohren (As Blood Runs Black, All Shall Perish) and features 11 glorious grinders like "My Cup's Half Empty" and "Violence in Fluid –Triceratops".

ARSONISTS GET ALL THE GIRLS come from a humble beginning in Santa Cruz, CA and then quickly realized their talent and potential. This led to the creation of a 3-track demo in 2003. This quickly set fire to the underground metal world and led to the band's signing and release of Hits From The Bow. Hits… began to spread like a virus among fans online and eventually wound up in the hands of Century Media Records' A&R staff who quickly signed the band. ARSONISTS GET ALL THE GIRLS then began work on The Game of Life. With the power of their newest effort and the sheer brutality of their live show, the band garnered a legion of diehard fans that has been growing more and more with each passing day, as seen by the record's high sales performance.

Portals began just like any other record does and was finished just like any other record has in the past. One small thing, the vocalist Cameron Reed quit 2 days after the record had been completed in order to be "closer to God". This took everyone in the band by surprise as this was a day before they were heading on a tour of Mexico. The band persevered and did not let this set them back. Fortunately within a week they had found a more than suitable replacement in a close friend named Jared Monnette. The band is no stranger to difficult circumstances as their bassist Patrick Jones passed away in 2007.

Now with the band more focused than ever, Portals is a huge leap in musicianship and songwriting under extraordinary circumstances. The band also was the FIRST US BAND to tour Russia extensively (some cities on the tour had never hosted a band from the United States ever) in which members were arrested, accosted and almost mugged.

With incredible touring plans already in the works, ARSONISTS GET ALL THE GIRLS will be on the road in both Europe and America throughout 2009 with such stellar packages as the European Thrash & Burn tour and future tours to be announced. If you somehow missed the band during their last cycle, it surely won't happen again - ARSONISTS GET ALL THE GIRLS will be in your face and Portals will be in your stereo for years to come!
I Set My Friends On Fire
I Set My Friends On Fire
Fusing together older influences of emo/post hardcore with a little bit of funk thrown in, I Set My Friends On Fire aims to set themselves apart from other bands with their unique sound that the band describes as “evil funk”.

‘Pop Goes Punk’ covers are everywhere nowadays, but back in 2008 I Set My Friends On Fire were one of the first to experiment with the concept on the track “Soulja Boy”. High school seniors, Matt Mehana and Nabil Moo put the single on their Myspace as a joke and it went viral immediately. The response was so overwhelming that Myspace took down the band’s page three times because they assumed the views were increasing so quickly because of being hacked to increase plays. The duo gave it one more try with a new page and would inevitably be the beginning of something special.

After multiple offers from different labels, the band signed with Epitaph Records and before graduation they were flown to make their Bamboozle debut. Their first album, “You Can’t Spell Slaughter Without Laughter” (produced by Lee Dyess and Travis Richter of From First To Last) was released in late 2008 and hit the top of the iTunes chart and #29 on the Billboard Heatseekers. After two years of extensive touring, the band went back into the studio to record “Astral Rejection” (produced Dyess and Richter) which was a more hectic, heavier album. Before the release, Moo decided to leave the band and Mehana was left as the only original member.

I Set My Friends On Fire has spent extensive time on the road. The band was the most anticipated band on Warped Tour 2009 and was featured on the tour in 2011. Their impressive tour history has included international shows in Europe, Russia, Canada, U.K, Australia as well as all over the United States. Other notable festivals include South By So What, UnSilent Night and Never Say Never Festival. I Set My Friends On Fire have shared the stage with bands like Attack Attack, Cash Cash, We Came As Romans, Of Mice and Men, Dance Gavin Dance, Silverstein, Sleeping With Sirens and many more.

2015 brought new changes to the band. After using different touring musicians, Mehana announced the band was no longer just him and brought in long time friends to round out the lineup. Guitarists Nate Blasdell (The Bunny, The Bear) and Jonathan Rosell, Bassist Joe Mosey (Lights Out Paris) and Drummer Josh Miller (The Last Ten Seconds of Life) would then go on to play over 170 shows, in 123 cities, through 24 countries in 250 days. This included the U.K, mainland Europe, Russia, Australia, Canada, and numerous U.S tours. After relentless touring, Miller and Mosey decided to leave the band. Chris Thompson and Connor Mitchener joined the band solidifying the current lineup and announced the release of the 3rd album, “Caterpillar Sex” (produced by Mehana) was delayed indefinitely as the band was constantly touring.

The band announced in July 2016 that they would be taking a three month break from touring after the summer to finish the album to be released at the end of the year. In December 2016, I Set My Friends On Fire signed with Tragic Hero Records after being independent for the past year. The band explained how the partnership was a perfect fit, “[Tragic Hero] was one of many labels we met with, but a label that loved us for what we were, had faith in our crazy ideas, and truly wanted what was best for us, which was allowing us to have creative control. It was without question that Tragic Hero was going to be our new home”.

In addition to the signing announcement, I Set My Friends On Fire released their first video in four years with the new single, “My Uzi Holds A Hundred Round Conscience” off their fourth studio album (to be released in Summer 2017). The record will bring the band back to their roots and the original ISMFOF sound but with a twist.
Kingdom of Giants
Kingdom of Giants
Kingdom of Giants is a 6 piece Metalcore band from Northern CA. Established in 2011, they have relentlessly been touring in The USA, Canada, and Europe, with bands such as Volumes, Fit For A King, Phinehas, and I, The Breather. Their first major album, "Ground Culture" was produced by Andreas Magnusson (Haste The Day, The Black Dahlia Murder, Fit For A King) and released after signing to InVogue Records in the fall of 2014.

In a genre / age where recording quality is at an all time best, Kingdom Of Giants excel in translating this quality to a high energy, organic, live experience. The band is composed of Dana Willax (Vocalist), Max Bremer (Guitarist), Red Martin (Guitarist), Julian Perez (Guitarist), Levi Norris (Bassist), and Truman Berlin (Drummer).

The band does a great job of keeping their albums interesting from start to finish. Each song sounds much different than the previous, but they are able to capture one overall feeling of cohesiveness throughout. Songs like the title track, "Ground Culture" or "Endure" seem to portray what the band is all about, while others like, "Sky Burial" and "Virtue" show just how dynamic their sound really is.

"It would indeed be a shame for the group to fade into the sea of mediocre crap that other bands are more than content to thrive in, because it's blatantly obvious that Kingdom Of Giants refuse to be ignored and will be heard. This resilience literally dripped off their last full length and was pervasive and infective, a pure "soundtrack to a revolution."" -Sputnik Music

"If you listen to the lyrical content of each track, you can easily spot a continuous theme throughout the record. The lyrics tackle questioning religious faith, understanding our own mortality, and dealing with the loss of family members. I think these themes are easily relatable, especially for our generation, which is one of the least religious generations ever. The desire to achieve more in life is something we can all understand" -Under The Gun Reviews
West Cliffs
West Cliffs
West Cliffs is a project that stemmed from a song of the same name, written and performed by Sean Richmond and Garin Rosen. In 2010, their band, Arsonists Get All The Girls, recorded an album entitled Motherland. The album in its entirety was inspired by the band’s previous tour experiences – especially their travels in the harsh sub-zero temperatures of Russia. The song West Cliffs is comprised of solely piano and drums.

Fast forward to 2016: Sean is located in Portland, Oregon and Garin is in the bay area, California. The two started hashing out ideas to write a whole album in the style of West Cliffs – and the name stuck.

During this time, Sean has been writing music with Brit Leigh, a Portland native with a background in classical piano and synth. Sean and Garin decided to bring Brit into the collaboration in order to more fully explore a multi-dimensional and layered version of the West Cliffs sound. The outcome is experimental, with roots in jazz, hardcore, ambient, and electronic.

The three are currently writing and recording with plans to release an album in 2017.
