What began as a chance encounter has become the next breakout band from the music capital of New Orleans. Neither lead singer David Shaw nor guitarist Zack Feinberg realized that life was going to be different when they randomly met in 2007. Two weeks after moving to New Orleans from Ohio, David Shaw was on his Birch Street porch with an acoustic guitar, strumming an original song called "Purple Heart." A passing bicyclist stopped to listen. He turned out to be Zack Feinberg, a guitarist in search of a band. Shaw and Feinberg struck up a conversation, a friendship and, eventually, The Revivalists. Four years later, the Revivalists look and sound like a band on the brink. In 2011 they were named Best Emerging Artist at Gambit Magazine's Big Easy Awards, which in 2012 has nominated them as Best Rock Band.
The Revivalists have been touring since 2008 and thriving on the national level, clocking in over 400 shows while sharing the stage and the road with such notable acts like Galactic, Trombone Shorty, The Rebirth Brass Band, The Radiators, JJ Grey & Mofro, and Alabama Shakes. Additionally, they have established themselves as an engaging festival act, winning over audiences at Voodoo Fest in New Orleans, DeLuna Fest in Florida, B.O.M.B Fest in Connecticut, The Kennedy Center Millennium Stage series in Washington, DC and the legendary New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. There, they caught the attention of Rolling Stone Senior Editor David Fricke, who wrote about their performance on rollingstone.com.
The Revivalists' 2008 self-titled debut E.P was an Editor's Pick for both the Jam Band and American Traditional Rock on CDBaby.com. The young band was privileged to record under the guidance of Grammy Award-winning engineer/producer Chris Finney, whose resumé ranges from Dr. John to R.E.M. Songs off the album have been featured on MTV, Paste Magazine's Music Sampler, and on American Airlines flights. Their first full-length Vital Signs quickly became the top-selling album on CDBaby in the American Rock category.
The band's next album, City of Sound, released in March 2012, was produced by Ben Ellman, whose credits include Galactic, Gypsyphonic Dysko, and Trombone Shorty.

Spence - (Set time: 11:00 PM)

Starting out as a fledgling group in the environs of Los Angeles, Daniel David (vocals guitar), Kelly Mead (bass), Seth Jared (Guitars), Jordan Stricklen (Guitars) and Brad Hurst(drums) set out to record a series of four songs alongside the talents of Brett Hestla (Creed , Framing Hanley, Dark New Day) in March 2011. Joining together the unique interplay of hard-hitting rock with the more eclectic tones noted in modern-day rock, Spence emerged on the Hollywood scene having established their talent under the banner of a new tonal range.
Marked by this distinct new sound, Spence quickly attracted the attention of Hollywood’s nightlife, playing at a variety of well-known venues, including The Roxy Theatre, The Whiskey, and The Viper Room. While the bright lights and multiple bookings earned Spence a certain level of notoriety, the foursome found the town lacking in possibilities. The growing buzz that was beginning to take hold beyond Los Angeles was largely silenced by a town that was set on molding the group to fit its own brand of artistic definition, a brand that Spence did not embrace as its own. The seduction of Hollywood’s myriad nightclubs continued to call, yet Spence found itself increasingly at odds with the city’s demands to quell their pursuit of authenticity. It quickly became clear to Spence that honoring their own definition of success would necessitate their departure from the illusion of Hollywood’s gleam. Thus the decision was made to reach out to the devoted fan-base that was rapidly growing beyond the borders of Los Angeles.
Today, Spence has garnered a broad and devoted fan-base that has re-affirmed their enticing brand of musical authenticity. They continue to pay homage to this devotion by touring various cities across the country, offering performances marked by the original sound that first enticed an audience. While the band’s career is still in its infancy, they continue to find inspiration in their fans who have made both their struggles and achievements worthwhile.

Vette - (Set time: 9:00 PM)

Vette's voice has traveled a long road of study: classical voice, musical theater, jazz performance, alt pop bands and a degree from the Berklee College of Music, to end up here - hypnotic, strong, stripped down, sincere. Her three EP releases travel from highly produced pop projects - the edgy, sensual, "Vette," and the flirty, strong girl, dance-pop, "15 Minutes" (a collaboration with Markaholic) - to the lush, organic, "Wonderlust" co-written and produced with Rob Giles. Revealed through this sonic trajectory is Vette's own unraveling of herself from tough and smart, to vulnerable and true.
Vette has appeared as guest artist on LA18's "Midday Buzz." She's been interviewed for 'Home Grown Spotlight,' featured on 91.1FM, The Avenue. She was also hired to write, "Making You Feel Like a Woman," for an episode of AOL's reality series "A Supermodel Stole My Husband." And her songs "15 Minutes" and "Take Me Away (with Markaholic) have appeared in CW's, "High Society" and the ABC sitcom, "Switched at Birth". She also sang on the ultra dance-pop demo, "Fighter," by Markaholic, which was selected by ABC for a "Dancing with the Stars" TV promo spot in September/October of 2010.
"Vette's voice is like the time-traveling purr of Margo Timmins meeting the sexual-power and attitude of Deborah Harry. Her ability to craft perfect songs makes her a real, rare force to be reckoned with...(Rob Giles of "The Rescues") "
